Well boys it's been almost 10 years since I've been able to turn on a lathe again, and it felt great to do so. After redesigning my tools so I could turn, I did a couple of strikers just to get the feel of turning again. One is a dymondwood (crimson ironwood) and a yellowheart strikers. It felt great to be able to turn again, both came out fine and play good on my calls. Still have some more practicing to do before I'm back to what I used to be able to do on a lathe, but it felt great just to be able to turn again.

Man Scott, it has been a long journey and I am so glad you are getting back on the lathe....just don't get to excited and get hurt....pappy...oh by the way great strikers....
I just want to show you guys a couple calls made by one dedicated call maker.....willowridgecalls...
These are made with out any lathe, notice the cut out in the middle...and notice the aluminum call has met some service in the woods, successfully I might add....thanks Scott..
