Opinions on cherry/glass pot call

Is this a good combination or should I go with a slate surface? I have never ran a glass call, so i'm not sure what to expect. I do have a crystal, will glass be similar? Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to pot calls.

Glass and crystal are similar, but in my experience you can get a litter higher pitched on glass. Glass will also scream a bit louder. Both are great calls and I carry both, but imo the glass will give more calling styles with very realistic sounds. I love crystal, but prefer to hunt with glass out of the two.
Here is a link to a review of a glass in yellow heart pot call with a monkeywood striker (this is the best glass call I have used so far). Just click on the picture to hear the sound file:

If you already have a crystal, I would go with a slate surfaced pot, usually a little mellower in tone, cherry makes a fine slate call, another surface I would look at is ceramic, Houndstooth calls, Spring Allure calls and Dominator calls make a fine ceramic, if your set on cherry Lyle makes one heck of a ceramic in a cherry pot. I like the sound of that call davisd9. Scoot, I have a lights out oak/slate, stone road canary/ceramic and an a-way outdoors crystal. I was thinking the glass would give me a well rounded assortment. Would you still go with the slate since I have one or is the glass a good choice?

If you have a slate then I see no sense in getting another unless you just wanted it or found it to sound a little better. What sounds good to me may not sound good to you and vice versa. I like having different surfaces when I hunt.

Thanks davisd9, I figured with the glass added to what I have would give me a good variety to work with on some of those particular gobblers.
