This is a quarter-sawn white oak slate over glass call with a pecan striker.  The purrs and clucks are VERY realistic.  The cuts are crisp and expressive.  The yelps have a nice breakover from a medium-high front end with some good rasp on the back end.  Although it looks a little plain, after running it for a few moments, you will see why I have carried one just like if for the past 4 years.
