Federal Heavyweight Discontinued?

Im hearing talk that federal is discontinuing the heavyweight turkey loads. These loads have resurrected my 20 ga as a turkey slayer and im hoping this is just a rumor. I know they dropped the heavyweight waterfowl loads a while back. What have you guys been hearing about all this? Hopefully this is just a bad dream!

I heard it too and really hope its not true but if you come buy the chance to buy some do it. I bought Gamaliel's last 3 boxes of #7's and luckygunner has some #6's. Get em while you can!!!!

Man I hope not, I've got 24 boxes for my 10 closet piled in case I get to where I can't handloads. I may buy 6 or 7 more just to have.

I've got 8, 20 gauge #7s shells ill swap for 1 box of 10 gauge if anyone is interested

This same discussion was brought up earlier this spring and your report coincides with the conclusion to that discussion.
Now that the scare is out there they won't be able to make enough of them for next spring in 20 ga 3" #7s , 12 ga 3"/3.5" #7 shells. The scare is what they will cost by next year.

you have to remember that a lot of ammo has been hard to get over the 6 months. On top of that..the last 2 months have been peek time for turkey ammo. So it's really bad for turkey ammo right now. Wait about a month or so and it will begin to free up now that turkey season is winding down.
