I picked up a Remington 870 Tactical about 2 months ago specifically for turkeys and coyotes.

It comes from the factory with a 2 shot extension which I removed. I'm in the process of getting a new forend either a shurshot or a magpul. I put a jellyhead .660 in. The numbers I got were

Federal Turkey Thugs 1 7/8 #6
1st 90 in 10" 244 in 20"
2nd 84 in 10" 239 in 20"
3rd 116 in 10" 270 in 20"

Federal Turkey Thugs 1 7/8 #5
1st 89 in 10" 225 in 20"
2nd 94 in 10" 226 in 20"

Winchester Supreme XX 2 #6
1st 100 in 10" 257 in 20"
2nd 76 in 10" 237 in 20"

I also shot Remington Nitro 1 7/8 6 but they shot so low compared to ever thing else I didn't bother to pattern them.  I only shot 2 shots for the other shells as I was pressed for time. Keep in mind my gun has an 18" barrel and I've heard the shorter the barrel the harder it is to get really good numbers. I would like to try some hevi 13 #7 which I think would help a lot. Having said all that I think the Federal turkey thug #6 are my best bet as of now. What do you guys think?
