After 6 days of rain in which we got about 6" of rain I was able to get out and do some scouting. It was pretty quiet in first spot I went to at first light, heard 2 gobbles, but know the birds are there. Went down road to another spot where I have shot a nice Tom the last two years. Just like clockwork at 7:30am there were 3 hens with 4 Toms crossing field behind them, once they crossed field they entered woods within steps of my ground blind where I have shot previous birds. Looking good for opener in 11 days.
