I've shot a bunch of lead loads from my 3" 12 game. And kicks choke and have yet to get a pattern that was less than 100 besides the Remington crappers. why do some have so much trouble?

I got 112 w/ 3.5" in #5s today and I wad tickled. I'm shootin an 870 sm w/ 23" bbl and 655 GT. I've always struggled getting decent lead numbers. You obviously have a good match of gun and choke. What constriction are you using? And what length bbl?

My 20" 870 with a Kicks .660 is lucky to break 100 with lead.  I have only done it just a handful of times.

I have an old MKII 5500 with a Stardot and it is a shooter.

i patterned a few loads the other day with my binelli nova 26'' barrel and kicks gt .660...ive never had this gun shoot badly however when i shot the 3'' winchester 1.875oz gray box loads i wasnt expecting much..ive never gotten a real good pattern with 4's over the years but this setup shot them very well..78 in 10'' at 41yards with 105 in the outer 20''..very very even from top to bottom, left to right..i couldnt believe a 3'' 4shot shell could look so sweet..i even shot it at 50 yards and still had 45 in the 10'' evenly spaced..i'm tickled.lol i know its not exceptional but ive shot alot of turkey loads and this is deffinitely huntable and by far my best 3'' 4 shot pattern.
