Fastfire III on an 11-87

Just curious how the Fastfire III would mount on an 11-87?

Do they mount right to a reciever that's drilled and tapped? Or must a rail be used? Thanks

You have some options here.  You can drill and tap for the Marlin 336 mount or you can use a weaver/picatinny rail and the picatinny mount.

I have a FF II mounted on my 1187, drilled and tapped with the 336 mount. Low and clean install.
