Saw something crazy this morning

I was watching a beardless tom strut through the yard one day.  The hens led him to the edge of the road and flew across.  Fat lazy tom tried to walk it and lost that gamble.  He got hust high enough off the road to hit the windshield instead of the bumper.  Watched him wander off into the woods and pile up.  Wife was horrified until she realized the freezer was empty of turkey, so she sent me to fetch it.  Sternum was broken but the meat was perfect.  He was tastey.

Sounds like he was tenderized

I bumped a hen with my Blazer several years ago.......about 4" lower and she would have come right through where my wife was sitting. It was one of those cases where she didn't know which way to go across the road, and I was doing about 60 or so, so by the time she committed and took to the air it was too late for me to even brake.
