Due to a problem with one of my guns I may have to buy another one right away.  I found an new in box 1187 Super Mag 23" barrel , camo.   I have no experience with the 1187 super Mag and own no Remington chokes.

I will polish barrel before patterning. Appreciate any advice on loads either lead or heavier than lead and chokes.  I will probaby shoot 3.5" but also will consider 3".

Thanks in advance guys.

Mike

Hevi Shot #6's or #7's and a Jellyhead .660   X2

You should try the turkey choke that comes with it also

Sumtoy, Ic, Jellyhead .660

Any of those chokes will throw a mean pattern.

And I've got a choke for that gun for sale that'll shoot good too. It's a Remington .675 hevishot choke.

Hey Gumby not giving up on the Turkeyslayer!!!!  I've got it set up with a Red Dot and I want my # 2 gun set up with no optics...plus I'll use the 1187  for waterfowl, hence the desire for a semi auto.

You can't have too many shotguns!

I just brought a 11-87 super mag a few weeks ago. I have settled with HEVI #7... as for the choke... seems like the factory stock choke is really good... especially with mag blends or #6.  I just got a .660 Jellyhead.. and will be shooting it next week. I have a feeling it will be a little better for the #7.
