Hello Erv,
I'm new to the site as well.  I've been turkey hunting for many years and have a couple of suggestions.....first try to find an experienced hunter to join you in the woods.  You may also want to purchase some calls and practice.  When I first started I found slate calls the easiest to use but that is just my experience, you may be more comfortable with another style call.  Best wishes for a great season!
