First time pot

Alright guys this is the pot call I got from trkyhntr. It is a walnut pot with slate over slate I am using a Purple Heart striker. So let me know what ya think

You may want to search around the call to find the sweet spot, and maybe try a couple different strikers..

Keep practicing. I devote about 20 minutes a day at least, to run my calls I'm going to be hunting with. Use a green scotch brite pad to condition the slate. I use 220 grit sand paper to condition my striker tips. Google the nwtf friction call championship and try to sound like those guys. That's a good way to practice. Keep at it and happy hunting!

Yea I would say I break out the calls at least for a half hour a day.

I hold my pot at about a 45 degree angle and make j hooks or ovals for my yelps,  I find holding pot directely level in front of me is harder to play,  everyone has there own playing style though,  also don't grip striker to tight especially for yelping,  cutting I grip it tighter.  Scoot
