Fed HW or Hevi 13?

Been shooting the Federals #7 in 3.5 for three years now, I average about 140 in a 10 inch circle at 40, usually 12-20 in the kill. Like others have said they hit like a freight train!

This seems low for a 3.5 inch 12 ga. You could be getting right up around 200 or slightly more.

Remember this is with 1 7/8 oz. (407 pellets) And with the good pattern that it throws and the punch that it packs I'm plenty satisfied with it.

Nope, through a 26 inch Remington Supermag barrel.

Federal has a 20 ga. 3" 1.5 oz. load and 12 ga. 3.5" 1 7/8 oz. load.  Dosen't make much sense to me.  If they came out with a 3.5" 2 1/4 oz. load they would sell a lot more 12 ga. ammo.

I shot mag blends and Fed HW 7's today, both in 3" out of my 535 with SSX choke.  Both shells shot in the 140s .  see pattern pics @  http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,32646.0.html
