Choke tube installation

When replacing the original manufacturers choke tubes, if the aftermarket choke tube threads in and tightens up before the shoulder of the knurled portion of the new extended choke contacts the end of the barrel, ( about 1/16 inch ) gap. Is that a normal fit ?

I had a Rhino choke that did this in my SBE 2. Called Rhino and they said that was fine.
