I had a piece of bloodwood that Creekrocket sent me, it wasn't in the best of shape, but I cut out two blanks to make a couple of tree yelpers. This is one red hot momma. Only 7" long and kee-kees like noone's business great yelps and loud kee-kees . Has an angled 1/16th inch on the mouthpiece which is delrin with a rubber lipstop.  The ferule is a 270 casing and is pinned to the call.

How does that angle affect the sound?

Barry, when I place the angled part against my lower lip it restricts the air flow allowing the pitch to pick up tremendously, thus producing kee-kees with clean crisp sound. Then if I lower the bell allowing the air to be free, the yelps come out with little effort. The only thing is getting used to the angled tip, this is only the second one I have ever tried, but knowing the old school callers had them I had to try it out my self.
