knoxx stock

i am wanting to buy a knoxx stock for both the mossberg 500 and my 870.  i will be using the bead or low profile sights that attach to the rib.  arent there 2 different stocks?  which do i use?

Not really.  There is a gen 1 (older model) and the gen II (newest model).  The only real difference is the ergonomic grip on the gen II.  I think that is what you are talking about?

i thought one had more rise to get your head inline with beads or the red dot

The standard Knoxx stock all come pretty much the same.  You can add the PowerPak cheek riser if you want to increase your cheek height.  Check out this picture.  These are the Gen 1 models, but the lower gun has the PowerPak.  These are not standard, but a $45 add on.

get the cheek piece if you are using optics, makes a huge difference.
