Went out and did a bit of scouting today for upcoming spring. I took some of the new mouth calls I picked up from bullys calls. Don't know of anyone else has used and or heard of them but they had a beginner pack of 3 different calls for 15 bucks. So I did a bit of walking looking for some signs and found a nice lil cozy well hidden nook. And just sat there for a few. Listening and watching. Didn't do any calling and I see then hen cone walking by, just watched and she seemed like she was on a mission when I heard a loud loud gobble that sounded like he was right on top of me, I look to my left and there he is not even 10 yards away. Boy that hen came a runnin at him. I didn't move a bit and they kind of disappeared. So after a lil bit of time I threw out a few clucks and a prrrrr. And wouldn't you know it got a gobble back. Didn't wanna spook any birds so I crawled out of the area and once I got what I thought was far enough away went back to a walk. Must say very excited about my up coming first spring turkey hunt.
