I'm a first time Turkey Hunter this spring, so I'm wondering how many Turkey Locator call options I need. For now, all I have is a owl locator. Is there anything else I should get?

Do you use different locator calls the night before VS the morning of?

Is a gobble call like the Primos Double Gobbler something I should consider?
I am going to bag my first Turkey this spring if it is the last thing I do!

I would add a good crow call. I use boat paddle boxes for long distance locators also. Good luck and have fun.
Deer see you and think you are a stump. The Old Gobbler sees a stump and thinks it is YOU!

I second the crow call.  Very easy to use.  Once you get the crows going, let them take over.  I rarely use special locator calls.  Lands I hunt are not that large.  Loud yelps on a box call works well for me.  Often the gobblers will come looking and the hunt is on.  When they come looking I switch to a mouth call or pot call.

Good luck this spring!

Add the crow call, I carry two different owl calls, a reed type, and a barrel type. I don't gobble unless it is late spring during may when our gobblers have grouped back up. Might work great in some places, but I have'nt had much luck with a gobble tube for locating anything except other turkey hunters.

I really like a hawk screamer. The one I have is made by Quaker Boy. Don't be afraid to use an owl hooter up in the day. I have had them shock gobble to an owl caller at various times of the day.

Besides the owl and crow call I like using a coyote howler, I get alot of turkeys to gobbler when the go to roost with it where I live. Don't know if I would use a gobble call. You might have another hunter stalk you.

I would for sure go with a crow call. A loud box call and a coyote howler would also be tools I would recommend.

OK, I'm all stocked up now!

1. Owl
2. Crow
3. Peacock
4. Pilleated Woodpecker
5. Coyote Howl-already had this one
6. Primos double Gobbler

If I can't do it with those, then I can't do it!

Thanks all...
