During the past few days the World has mourned, prayed and cried out for understanding, concerning the shooting in Connetticut. How can such evil exsist in this world? Let me say first it does not go un-noticed.
Hebrews 4:12,13....For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
We are at war with evil, our spirits are attacked in ways that we do not understand, but God does, and His word reveals everything and everyone, and those who take evil by the hand will indeed meet the wratth of a Just and Judgmental God.
I will be the first to admit that I was hurt so deep for the families affected by this horrible event, I fell prey to my flesh, I was angered, I wanted justice, and to be honest I forgot my place within God's Army. 1 Thessalonians 5:5–8 ...You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. My place was set by God when I joined His Army of Righteousness, and I had stepped out of line, I became drunken by anger and revenge, and it wasn't until I realized this, and got on my knees, praying my way back into God's favour, putting back on the breastplate of faith and love. Now I KNOW my place is to pray for those hurting, to pray for their healing, for their wounds now exposed to be bandaged by God's Grace, to find strength during their time of weakness and to be lifted up in the love of God above all these things that have tried to so desperately destroy their world.
So this is my plea, that I fight the fight of good faith, helping those who are in need, seeking the lost and bringing the plan of Salvation into their life. Let us as Christians join together in this prayer on their behalf, those who are hurting and those who bring the hurt.
