Here is a really good read about a very tragic event in the 40's from around here. GPa lost one of his best friends in this storm, froze to death on Green Island. Today was kinda setting up to be sort of like it, very erie for sure. 61 degress at 0400 this am before the front rolled trough, dumping inches of rain, sleet and some snow. Birds were on the move!

Scary stuff- Ive seen some old pictures of guys found frozen to death - I cant imagine having to endure bitter cold like that
