I just got back in from watching a solo tom strut for 10min.  Watched him until he went over the hill.  He gobbled 3 times!!  :you_rock:

That's exactly what I'm thinking.  I rode by earlier during the rain and saw a flock of at least 32 with 4 gobblers.  I have some private in Knox county that I can hunt but others hunt it too.  The guy does a call in system.  If you request a certain day you have the entire property to yourself that day.  I will hunt there and I'm sure I will hit up some public (Sundquist, Royal Blue)

I am goin to check out sundquist also this year. Been talkin to some fellers that hunt it and said they are several birds there. Just they are hard to get setup on, because of the ruggedness of the area and all the old strip pit highwalls.

If everything goes good and I can get on some birds you can come up and we'll see if we can bust ones head. :z-guntootsmiley:

I know what you mean!  The guy I plan on going to Nebraska with hunts Sundquist a bit.  I have been there with him 2 times.  We heard birds both times but it hasn't worked out yet.  Rained on us both times.

Shawn that is a terrible way to spend your time off, get well soon.

We haven't seen any birds in a while, or not like we use to see them.

I saw about 18 birds yesterday evening while scouting on the hunt club near my house. I saw approx. 8 hens and then I drove another 400 yards and glassed another 10 birds down this "log" road - 1 strutter and at least 1 other longbeard. I think that settles it - that's where I will be Tuesday morning!   :z-guntootsmiley:
