Question on 835 bottomland
July 26, 2012, 10:54:28 PM
A guy is looking to trade me an 835 in what looks to be bottomland. He said the barrel is not ported. Is this one of the older mossbergs or does anybody have an idea. Trading a rifle and just wanted to be sure on the gun I would be getting any help is appreciated.

Post the picture.

I'll help out a fellow Okie. I'll send you a pm with my email and post the pic for you if someone else has not already done so.

Nevermind! Looks like you got it handled!
As far as the shotgun, I am no expert as to what the camo pattern is. But, if it is an unported 835, it is older, probably from the early mid 90s. Someone here will know more than me about the details of when it was made.
But as far as the performance of the 835, I have had one since 1998 and I love it. It is a turkey killing machine! Depending on what you are trading, it should be a good deal.

As I posted in the other 835 thread, that is the original Realtree Green camo pattern.
