Trumpet call pointers

I am new to the trumpet call got my first one last week.I have played around with a wingbone and can make basic sounds with it.All the other type call slate,box, mouth calls all have a ton of info one the best tenique to practice to help improve your calling but not much info on the trumpet.I know this call is going to take a lot of practice that's why I'm starting now with 8 months till season opens.Now I see all these awesome calls some of you guys make and sell one here maybe some of you have some tips and pointers for us new to this.Pratice makes perfect but just want to know I'm practice wright

There are some you tube videos but the ones I've seen are more demonstrations than instructions. The call makers often will spend time with you on the phone but nothing beats practice.
