I am about to purchase a new 935 turkey pro w the pistol grip. My plans are to have the bbl professionally polished and worked for maximum performance. I was going to put a FFII sight or something similiar on it. I want to shoot the mag blend Nitro shells. I have a tactical 835, that I use locally and woods hunting, but am looking for something a little less hitting, and more oos field bird oriented. This is gonna be my sho-nuff turkey gettr. I plan on a no hold bar gun, that I can use from here on.
My question is, I have heard from several people that the Nitro shells are too hard on the 935 and cause internal issues. Is that the case, and what is the biggest problem..and fix?? Looking to line all the bugs out right off the bat...Thanks for any help.

Chad them are some good guns.  You have a few chokes that work in them.  SumToy, IC or if you can find a star dot.   Now shells the
HV-13 and Fed HW will do good.  I have seen a few of the nitros shoot good but it was the older shell. (2010 shell they said)

Hey Chad,

First of all, congratulations on your choice of guns. I have a 935 and have shot it off and on for some time now. The barrel in my gun was really quite good and only required a good "deep clean" to see a shiny and smooth bore.

I put a set of Truglo "Pro-Series" sights on mine but frankly don't need them, since it shoots to POA.

I shoot 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shells with 2 oz. of #6 and #7 shot through my gun, and they do the job very well, so I can't be of any help to you with the Nitro shells.

One addition that has really helped with my gun is a very thin Cheek Eez pad on the comb. It has a tendency to slap the cheek just a bit and that thin pad helps more than you might imagine.

Lastly, there are several chokes that work well with that gun but the one I've settled on due to both what I've seen and what my readers have experienced, is the Hevi-13 Turkey Choke. I like the internal design and it throws very even and dense patterns.

Best of luck with your new gun. I'm sure you'll like it.

Thanks,
Clark

You said you want a "sho nuff" gun. to do this you got to look at the whole package.
Now this would be a 36" 10 gauge shooting TSS handloads. This ia an impratical weapon. The 935 covers two areas. 3.5" payload and 10 gauge bore. step up to handloads over Nitros.

I actually would, but im still concerned that the gun in stock form will constintently handlen the abuse of hotter than factory loads. If there is anything I need to do to beef the gun up, I would like to know..
