Chucks and Supplies

Just bought a lathe and wanted to know the best chuck to buy between 100-150 bucks? Also, I have been buying supplies from brookside, but would like to know where you guys buy slate and stuff from?

I have a technatool midi chuck that is really great.......

but if you are lookin' at scroll chucks.....get a vicmarc......it may cost a little more though......
