Thought I would share. I was very nervous as I have never been one to talk in a crowd. My Wife filmed it with a cheap video cam. You have to turn up your speakers as the aidio is a little week.

Econo,
I have been preaching for 12 years and since starting I have been in front of a congragation of some sort almost every Sunday, and to this day it still isn't easy.

Like Clint Eastwood said in Heartbreak Ridge "there is nothing normal about jumping out of a perfectly good plane", and there is nothing normal about standing in front of a congregation and having 50 pairs of eyes or more focused solely on you and everything you say.

Congrats on getting up there and sharing :jesus-cross:

hard to do, still don't like speaking in front of a group, even the people you grew up with, we had all men's choir at church Father's Day, my dad (71) usually leads it on men's day, but asked me too, have done it many times before when i was younger, and have sang by myself and with others in a group, but still get nervous, took public speaking in 4-H in high school, but still have that nervous edge, guess most people do, thanks for standing up and doing it
It's not a passion, It's an OBSESSION

I believe the Lord is more concerned with "willingness" than speaking talent, and when your bad nervious plus way out of your comfort zone, He is really proud of His Children.      Good Job!!!!!!!

Ps most every Preacher I know still gets nervous, especially right at or right before the beginning.

Love the way you used Humor, then had me tearing up

Tail Feathers

I am one of the fortunate few who have no fear of public speaking.  I was the Public Info Officer for my police department for a few years and did a lot of public speaking.  I was on TV a few time per week as well.

I figured that I ain't real purty so I better sound like I know what I speak about.  :TooFunny: Thank goodness it didn't make me nervous! :icon_thumright:
