Ribless barrel sighting options

I have a Remington 1100 20 gauge with a ribless barrel and a single bb bead, the receiver is not tapped for a scope mount, what options do I have to upgrade the sight setup?

b-square saddle mount would work for ya.

B Square will work ,but make sure you get the right one. Not sure about the 1100,but the earlier 870s (Wingmaster) 20 ga.were built on a 12 gauge receiver .The new ones have a smaller receiver. I assume your 20 is older and will prob.need the 12 ga,  B Sq. mount.

Burris lists a Speed Bead model for the 1100 but I am unsure if that works with the 1100 20ga.  Hopefully BurrisOptics will chime in and let you know if it will fit.  If you are looking to put a red dot sight on the gun that would be the least obtrusive way to do it and the good thing is it sits low enough that you could still use your barrel sight if you want to.  Dont think you would though once you see how fast an open lens red dot sight lets you get on target.

If you are looking for some other type of optic though without having to have the receiver drilled and tapped then a saddle mount like the B-square or Millett is the way to go. 

If you simply want a fiber optic bead on the barrel end, look and see if your current bead is threaded on or sauldered.  If threaded,  then there are fiber optic replacements available.  If not then there are models of fiber optic front sights available from TruGlo and others that snap onto the barrel.  TruGlo model is called the Glo-Dot II

If it is in fact built on a 12 gauge receiver then the speedbead will wokr but if it's on the typical 20 gauge receiver it will not.  You could still go with a Marlin mount or pic mount.
