Steve brought me this curly Walnut striker on our recent trip to Kansas. I knew I was coming up again soon on his waiting list but he really surprised me with this one. A real beauty and it has that great sound like all his strikers. Thanks again buddy.
I thought I would post my other strikers from him. As you can see I have a real problem. My ole buddy Jim Runnels and I sort of got in on the ground floor with Steve before he became well known with his work. I got several while there was little to no waiting list. Times sure have changed.

Glad that you like it Rickey. Man, I am running out of types of wood to make strikers out of for you.
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

Scott,
I do have a persimmon. It was one of the first ones I got from Steve. Definitely one of my favorites along with the dogwood, apple, black locust, hickory, cherry, plum, ipe, apricot........ you get the picture. I like them all.
