Went to watch my Anna graduate Kindergarten Friday. After that we took her out to eat at El Jimador mexican restaurant . After That we went to the car dealership. We owned a 08 GMC Serria Ext cab. It was nice, only 58K miles. But with 2 car seats in the cramped back seat, we were running out of room.  I bought this vehicle 2 years ago as an anniversary present for my wife.  We both realized recently it was too small on the inside.  Plus the MPG sucks on it.

At the dealership we saw the lady we bought the truck from last time and she remembered us. She looked at my wife and immediately said "You want an SUV dont you". We said yes. She started showing us some new and used vehicles and eventually showed us a Brand New 2012 Chevy Equinox. We test drove it and it was nice.  Not quite as spacious on the interior front  as we were used to.  But the interior room in back was nice.  We talked to financing and they came back $30 to $40 over what we were paying currently. I told them "too high". We are paying $407 on the GMC and I said "$415 or less and we leave with the SUV, over that we walk".  I was in the market for a lower note (but could afford and extra $8) and better MPG (prioriety). She said to let her do the math. She came out a few minuets later and said "OK I can do it for around $380". I said I need the tow package added and we added GAP insurance (a must on any vehicle). Now we own a Brand new SUV. So I may have traded my wifes Deer wagon in for a Kid Wagon, but My Note went down $18 and my insurance went down. And the wife is happy. SHe really likes the new SVU.  Can we say Brownie points?   Besides, I still have the buick for hauling deer.

As long as the wife's happy that's what matters! Good going buddy, but you should have went to the Minivan so I'm not the only one getting laughed at. I still drive my Sierr@  Z71 ext.cab but with gas the way it is and the van getting 28 mpg.....laugh all they want, heck I even took it in the spring woods one day....lol
