I had a good time this year hunting didnt get to hunt as much as i do in the past but i still logged in several days.Only killed one bird out of 2 states which was kinda disappointing but hey thats y its called hunting instead of killing.Season in kentucky ended last weekend and tennessee ended this weekend.Tennessee didnt produce nothing for me and my buddy they were there 2 weeks prior to season and was gone opening day,still havent figured that one out.
I shot and cleanly missed one here in kentucky opening morning at 15-20 yards and then killed one that following monday afternoon.This year wasnt the best i have seen at my hunting places all the places i hunt by mid season all the fields was done growed up pretty tall forcing them on property i cant hunt.Heard very little gobbling all season(thats not the norm here)but on a side note i seen more jakes this year so it will be good hopefully next year.The woods i hunt was logged at the end of season last year and there was no birds roosted in there this year so that was a bummer.All and all i had a good time this year just wish it wasnt over.Had a few farmers mess me up through out the season and some dogs but ended up killing one tom and a coyote and called up several hens and watched them and had 6 diff jakes at diff times come in to my calling and had 2 jakes that gobbled like 2 year olds(had me fooled) till i stalked within 30 yards ofem and seen there little stickers sticking out
Didnt bag as many birds as i would like but had a good time while out there.
Spring 2013 is going to be a road trip already cant wait.Going to texas to kill my last bird for my grand slam.
