Wingbone yelper

Does anyone place a gasket, washer, etc on the mouth piece of your yelper for consistent placement ? I am finally able to make noises through my yelper but i am finding it hard to get any kind of cadence or consistent tone with it. I know that this call will take relentless practice to be able to run but was wondering if anybody has any tips such as getting consistent placement.

I don't hunt with wingbones but they are essentially played the same way as a trumpet.  I always use a lipstop on a trumpet in order to keep my lip placement consistent.  I think this is critical.  I'm sure I could get by without a lipstop but I much prefer to use one.  If I were to use a wingbone or Jordan style yelper I would still use a lipstop.
