You can't go wrong with the bull barrel I have one on my 223 and its a tack driver at 100 yards.

That's a nice gun Al.  And it should shoot some nice groups at 50yds.

Try you some SK Pistol Match or SK Match or Wolf Match or Wolf Target to see what it will do.  The top end Eley is good, but expensive.  Lapua makes some good ammo, too.
