first trip to the woods with box call i got from david halloran the bird was closing in at 60 yards and the kid with me just could not take the pressure and moved ball game over that really hurt him bad, i told him thats life it happens i felt bad for him we sat up on a field after that and called in four jakes he sealed the deal i guess you can take a negative and turn into a positive that smile on his face was worth it all god is good.

I commend you for taking a kid. I also commend you for not using a blind. He will learn next time that he can not move a muscle. It only takes one time to get busted to learn your lesson. He'll do great next time. Sounds like you had a good hunt anyway.

Can't say anything to him for moving, its just part of learning. Sounds like he did at that. Way to go and congrats to both of you. I have been turkey hunting a very long time and I still do stupid stuff from time to time.

lonnie you are right i went hunting this morning and the bird gobbled in the tree and flew down gobbled one more time never said nothing else two hours later i steped out in the field from the wood line looked to my left he scared me and i scared him game over bird was there for two hours with in 30 yards and never said nothing it happens that would have made it number five for me but ended up with four and called 15 to other people this season that goes to show you god is good.
