Turkey calling terms in Spanish?

As a project for her Spanish class, my daughter has decided to teach her classmates about turkey calling. Her teacher loved the idea. This will include a demonstration and all the presentation must be done in Spanish.  While she could use direct translation of the English words, she wonders if there are Spanish terms that are different.  I know some folks here speak Spanish or have been to Mexico for ocellated turkeys and may have picked up a term or two. She needs Spanish words for turkey, call, box call, pot call, slate, striker, yelp, cutt, especially anything that doesn't go over directly from the English.  Thanks!

In Mexico, turkey are referred to as Los Pavos.  However, In Guatemala and South American countries they are called los Chompipes.

I guess the generic redneck spanish wouldn't work... You just put "el" in front of the word you want to say and "o" after it.  Let me demonstrate:

The el-turkey-o was gobbling on the el-roost-o.

No, these kids are pretty sharp. 

My wife's father was German and her mother Italian.  He liked to boast how much Italian he had picked up over the years.   Pass-o le bootter-o,  he would say.

Some words don't have a counterpart in other languages because of rarity of use.  You may not find a spanish word for all those things.

So if I want to hunt Gould's in Mexico I have to learn to call in Spanish?
How do you say gañido gañido gañido gañido cloqueo cloqueo on a box call?  


pavo = male turkey or turkey in general
pava = female turkey
cant really say hen meaning turkey hen as the same word means chicken
Don't know a word for gobble
gañido = yelp
cloqueo = cluck

Sorry, my second language is Portuguese from working in Brazil for so long. Down here, turkey is called peru (pronounced pedu) wich has a double meaning in their language. The same word is used for a mans favorite body part. And to top it off, a deer in Portuguese is called viado which also means gay in their language. They always joke about the two things I like to hunt for. Can't win for losing.
