My name is Doug and I live in Boise, ID. I started turkey hunting 22 years ago and absolutely love it. The only other hunting that even comes close for me is bow hunting elk. I'm originally a NE PA guy and learned to hunt there. Many good memories turkey hunting with my Dad and Grandfather. I try to get back every once in awhile to hunt with my Dad.
I now hunt turkey in Idaho, which seems to be going down hill over the past few years - at least in the areas that I hunt. Time to find some new areas, I guess. Last two years all I've seen are hens. Two weeks ago, I had a hen within 7-8 feet of me - that was pretty cool.
