This is my first post on this forum. My question is I have a Remington shotgun with the factory rifle type sights. If I use the marlin 336 base and a Burris FF will the factory sights interfere with my line of sight ?

                                                  Thanks

Yes.  Unless you use the Speed Bead type mounting system that goes in between the stock and the receiver, the body of the sight and the base mount will obscure your sights to some degree if not completely.  With the Speed Bead, the sight window is actually lined up with the top of the receiver and even if you loose power to the sight, you can still see the bead or open sights.

ok thanks I was just worried that the factory sights might block my vision through the FF I was wondering if I might have to remove the factory rifle type sights to be able to use the FF ??

I have a FF2 on my 11-87 with the rifle style sights. i dont have a problem with it. Yes you can see the rifle sights in the FF2 but has never been an issue with me, but i have mine on a weaver base and piccatiny mount. So maybe it sits a tad bit higher. Lee

I would sight in your open sights and mark them for the load/choke you're shooting and then mount the FF sight.  If anything you might still be able to see them through the sight window, at worst if the sight goes down you still have the open sights as backup and all you have to do is remove the sight body to see them.

It is the camo barrel with the deer rifle type sights on it no rib on it just the rifle type sights I don't see any screws to remove them.

I honestly wouldn't mess with them...

Don't think you could with the speed bead.  You'd run out of elevation before you got the dot up high enough with those remingon sights I would think.  The speed bead is made so that the dot sit at or just above your VR bead(s).
