Finally a better priced tough cooler!

Put this cooler through the paces Saturday.  We put 20lbs of ice in it at 1:00pm.  Added four slot sized redfish throughout the day fishing in the sun.  I sat on it with my rod in the holder on my left most of the afternoon.

We left the fish in the box on the deck and didn't clean them until 9:30am the next morning.  Hardly any ice was melted.

These are Poly foam filled roto-molded coolers with molded in hinges that have thick stainless pins in them.  The lid has a neoprene seal.  Tough cooler..  Substantially cheaper than other roto-molded coolers.  I'm impressed

Last year I bought an IceKool cooler that is identical to that one, except mine is blue.  K2 Coolers are the same exact cooler as both of these.  I talked with a local rep for K2 and he said there is only one place in China that makes these coolers, so they are literally the same, just have different stickers on them.  That said, it is a great cooler and ice lasts a long time.

Interesting information.  They do look the same.  The Brutes ship from Texas.  And they handle warranty issues.  They come in white or tan color.

I got the coupon code from another guy and it covered shipping from Texas to South Carolina on the 55.  I'm passing on a good deal on a great cooler to everyone here.

The molded in hinge pins are tough.  I won't have to worry about busting hinges on this one.  Which I've done so many times on other coolers.  I also like the rubber feet that keep it from sliding around in the boat and the back of the truck.  Rope handle attachments are much easier to fix than plastic ones that eventually snap off.

This is our catch after a full day on ice.  It was about 80F that day.

I paid $165 for my 65qt Yeti, but then again I try not to pay retail for anything.   ;D

Been very impressed with my Yeti's, but I'm not brand loyal if something is better.  The owner of Brutt was trying to get the name of his coolers out there when they first came out, and he was offering demos on a hunting forum for members to try for a while and post up a review.  I sent him a message saying I had a Yeti and would do a side-by-side comparision for him and post the results if he'd let me try the demo.  He keep saying no problem, but I never got the demo.  Made me think he didn't want a side-by-side comparision done.  Just food for thought.

Let the little twenty EAT!!!!

Look like a nice cooler. I have 2 Yeti's and an original Icey Tech, The Icey Tech I bough the first year they came out and then a year later the first Yeti cooolers came out. I paid $230 for a 140qt. A couple of years later I was in Panama City FL at the tackle shop and they had all their Yeti Cooler marked way down. (Old style) So I got on the phone and bought over half of what they had on the floor. They were making room for the new style Yeti that was coming in the next day. That was 6 years ago or so.

Anyway I will check out the Brute, my nephew wants a Yeti and I will send him the info. Thanks

He'll like it.

I found out on Facebook they are introducing a 20qt model in June.  I plan on getting one.  Here's their teaser picture.
