We patterned some of the old Rem HS 3.5" 1-3/4oz #6s last year out of an 870SM with JH665 and had 170s at 40.  They were the HV duck version, I believe 1300fps.  I'd hunt them.

I patterned them last night (3.5" 1 7/8 oz. #4) in an 870 SM with a .665 jelly head and got 122 in 10" at 40 yards.  I have about 50 more of them so I should be good to go for a while.

Not bad at all for only 1-7/8oz of #4s.  They will certainly be bringing the funk.

I have several boxes of the 20ga 3" 1-1/4oz #6 load
they shoot great trough my .575 Carlson choke
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

I shoot the 3 1/2" 1 7/8 oz. #6 out of a Browning Gold with an SSX, it will do in 170's.
