Had three Jake's that wanted to die real bad, they cost me a shot at a two year old. Got on one first thing that gobbled his head off on the limb when he got on the ground he gobbled a few times and got quite, figure he had hens so decided to leave him a lone and come back try him later. Moved around an called in a few spots with no luck. A round 11:30 I headed back where I started, cutt hard on a pot call two and gobbled back at me one real close right in front of me the other one was to the west of me. Didn't like where I set up at so I move back about 20 yd's. Barely set down and I see turkey heads, start looking for beards I see that they are Jake's, now I'm hoping they leave quick so I can spin around an see what the other turkey is. They would not leave, one putted I thought they were gone but then they just stood there looking around about 10 Min's. I never seen turkeys stay that still that long, had my scope all three of their necks at one time or another finally they move off. I can still see one and it's looking back behind where I an setting I hear something walking in the leaves, I move to quick and this turkey is about 10 yd's putting and walking off so I swing on him and he puts it in high gear and I never got on him.

Sounds like you had a good day. Keep after them and you will bust one. I am leaving after work tomorrow to meet up with deacon and we are going to roost/hunt tomorrow evening and then hunt all day on Wednesday. Hope you get one soon!

Well the last two days have been really some poor turkey hunting, birds are not gobbling very much, me and two other guys have end up hunting the same turkey. Had to work the last two days so I could only hunt for couple of hours any way, have the next two days off and these other guys have only been hunting until about 9:30 so maybe I can get on some birds.
Seen a big old Gobbler this morning on the way out he had three hens with him, this dude I bet will weight 25# +. Going to try to find him tomorrow after his hens leave him!
