After a couple of months worth of tinkering with trying to come up with some trumpets that have a good sound to them, I have finally succeeded. I managed to get these three finished yesterday while I had a day off work:
Left to right they are Kauri with a black acrylic mouthpiece and a deer antler lipstop, Kauri with a white (woodcraft calls it snow) acrylic mouthpiece and a cork lipstop, and a yellowheart with white acrylic mouthpiece and lipstop. All three have a hand turned brass ferrule and are finished with 3 coats of BLO. These three will be heading to the classies.
