hey fellas , i wasnt sure where to post this so i posted this topic in the optics section also . im making a turkey gun out of a 120 ranger shotgun that was given to me by father in law . i wasnt planning on hunting with this gun until i came across a 28 in winchoke barrel , vent rib , the other day for it so now im trying to put it together . so far ive ordered an akita stock set for it and an ssx choke tube for it . i have an extra nikon turkey pro scope that i would like to mount on it but the mounting systems are kind of up in the air . people are saying the saddle mount for this model of gun is sloppy because it only has 1 trigger pin to mount it , and the front of the saddle mount just kind of straddles the trigger guard like a jockey helmet . the only other mount ive seen is a universal cantiliever rib mount from b square or sun optics . does anybody know if this is a reliable mount ? it seems sturdy but ive never fooled with one so any opinions are appreciated . thanks , shawn
