Bought one of Thads presses now I need a little help...

Okay so at the end of last years turkey season I bought one of thads presses... I have made some calls I like with latex, but im trying to get into the proph calls... With that being said, I cannot for the life of me get the proph to bind together. Ive tried using nails, and tacks... please any help would be MUCH appreciated!! This is getting old haha
