Personally, not my favorite Mossberg. I had one for years, and killed a couple nice birds with it, but after finding OG, I started experimenting with different chokes and loads, and I just couldn't get consistent shot to shot performance with mine, so I sold it, and bought an 835, which is a patterning machine!
Another reason I didn't like mine was for the vicious recoil. I ended up having to put a knoxx stock on it, because in it's stock form, that mother kicked harder than any gun I have ever shot!
However, if the guy selling it to you can show you some patterns and you think it's a good deal, go for it. There are guys on here that are very happy with thier 535's. I was just not one of them.

I have the "tactical turkey" model 535 and I am very happy with it. I am shooting the factory choke after trying a few chokes. I am shooting HeviShot 3.5" #7s. I shot some of the 5,6,7 magnum blends for testing and they patterned decent too.
It kicks like a freakin' mule. Just like every single pump I have ever shot with 3.5" super loads. I put a limbsaver pad on mine for sighting in and it made a world of difference.
I shot a couple shots yesterday to confirm zero on my red dot and then fired my daughter's 20ga Mossy. Her mossy hurt me worse than the 12ga. That skinny little butt pad with a short stock was painful. As you would imagine, the recoil is never noticed while hunting.

I also have the 535 Tactical Turkey model which has the 20" barrel and adjustable stock.
After much trial and error, I finally found a choke and load combo that puts up solid numbers at 40 yards. I've found that my Indian Creek BDS .660" choke when paired with Hevi 3-2-7 is capable of 240-250 hits in a 10" circle at 40 yards.
Prior to that, I was shooting a multitude of other chokes and getting good numbers at 30 yards, but falling below 100 pellets at 40 yards. With certain lead loads, the Indian Creek can put 120-130 pellets in the 10" at 40 yards as well.

I have shot a 2oz load of hand loaded hevi #5's through the IC .660 and the JH in mine. The IC shoots a bit better not by much though. I have also shot the 2oz. Win Extended #6's through these chokes and the IC put up some nice patterns at 40. I will be trying out a new load through it later today.
What are you trading if you don't mind me asking?
