This may seem like a silly question....but having recently acquired a FFIII I am curious if folks shoot with both eyes open....or close one eye like a conventional scope???Or does it matter?? Being a glasses wearer...it seems to me that closing one eye is more natural......please give me some insight! Thanks for your time.

I am using a Mueller Quick Shot and have found that by keeping both eyes open and just focusing on the animal, that I can easily get the red dot on target without having to think about it. The difference that I see between a regular scope and the red dot scopes is that the image that both eyes see is the same, making it more natural to use both eyes.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

I am trying to retrain my brain to keep both eyes open.  Your FOV is much larger and I think you will get on target and not get so much eye strain if you have to wait on that turkey.

jasperjet

it takes awhile to retrain but worth the effort

Both eyes open is the way to go.

Both eyes open.  You get to keep your depth perception and your field of vision is much wider. :funnyturkey:

I have the same dilemma, as I am left handed but right eye dominant. If I don't close one eye my brain gets all confused.

Same here. I cannot shoot with both eyes open.

Deer see you and think you are a stump. The Old Gobbler sees a stump and thinks it is YOU!
