Well I tryed sand but in the back of the receiver there is a small hole that dumped all the sand in to the bolt. Now I have ran out of Ideas and have been trying to figure out how to do this. Searching the internet and have come up with nothing.I know benelli makes that recoil reducer but I dont think 14oz. is enough for me. I'd like to add about 2 to 2 1/2 pounds of weight to the gun. Now I thought I had it with the sand but due to the hole now Im lost. Can anyone help me with some ideas please!!

Can you plug the hole or add a bag of split shot held in place with spray foam.

Ya I was Able to I figured it out, What I did was put a piece of cloth in some plastic and weged it in the stock. Than filled sandwich bags with sand and stuffed them in there. Worked pretty good.

The reviews I read on the recoil reducer Benelli makes were not good at all. What I did with my son's Nova was install a limbsaver recoil pad. Made a big difference.

I bought a used Nova that came with the factory Benelli mercury recoil reducer.  I was somewhat skeptical, but that gun was the most pleasant shooting pump gun that I have ever shot.  If you have a Nova you will have to buy the bracket to hold the mercury-filled tube.

On my son's shotgun, I put lead shot inside of heavy zip-loc bags and it did the trick.

I have one for a nova that I would sell if anyone wants it.  Never really used it, thought I would need it and didn't
