Pretty close.  It was actually the leaves I kicked away from the base of the tree once I found what I thought was the killing spot that done him in.  I knew when I kicked the leaves back and he double gobbled that his time on this Earth was about over.

Harvest is the same as killing to me. Way to go with the "freak nasty kill". Warms my heart to see an old coot still hip with the Bone collector crowd.

  That's more like it. 

Just got a call from my Mom and she just killed a triple beard as well.  Probably be next week before I get the pics.

Really, I'd like to be able to get a video with her!!   I'm not wanting to come kill her turkeys, just video a hunt with her.

Some times I dream, that she is me, Like guesswho's mom, if I could be like guesswho's mom!!!

Good luck with that.  I'm her son and I'm on an invite only list   She will be flattered though when I tell her there are people who would like to hunt with her.   

It tickles me that she's 70 years old and can still get it down on a regular basis.

I just talked to her again, she said it had beards that measured 6 1/2", 7 1/2", and 10 3/4".  I'll get pictures from her this weekend.  I'm glad I'm not a wild turkey in the woods she hunts.
