I think your choice of a semi auto or pump should dictate your next move. I have owned several regular Nova's in the past and have no complaints about them...obviously the Super Nova has additional features that makes it moire desirable.
I just purchased a 3500 Stoeger and have test fired a wide variety of ammo 2 3/4, 3" and 3 1/2 " thru it in various combinations and it has never misfed. I did disassemble and throughly cleaned it prior to testing. I have not had time to do serious pattern tests with it yet...I will say I think the extended turkey choke that comes with the 3500 is very poorly made and the two quick shots I tried so far the pattern was blown...polished barrel, factory extended choke , Remington 3" Nitro Turkey # 4. (not my normal turkey load / choke or turkey gun...just my first quick test fire after I cleaned the gun and polished the barrel.) More thorough results this weekend if weather permits.
