TX THEN KS Never Been Early...Any suggestions

Will roll out on March 29 to head to North Central TX hunt SAT SUN MON then get up early Tuesday head North for 400 miles...Will be my first trip to KS for archery season and really looking forward to it...seems the season has come early across the entire country.  Always willing to listen to any advice others may have or past experience.  Not my first time to these areas for hunting but earliest I have been in season...
Will return home with lots of good experiences I hope.
