I'd recommend that before anything else, you "deep clean" the bore and then pull the trigger group and clean the excess grease and oil from it. That will help ensure the reliable performance of your gun and help you get better patterns.
That short barrel can present some "challenges" but as long as you're looking for good turkey killing patterns, it can be done.
I am seeing good patterns, as are my readers, from both the Hevi-13 Turkey Choke and the SSX in those guns. They are quite different designs but both work well.
The hands down best shell that I see is the 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shell with 2 oz. of #6 shot. It works very well through either of those chokes in that gun.
