berreta 391 extrema 3.5" necessary parts & steps to mount a red dot scope.

do i need a rail to mount red dot to reciever? the reciever has 2 receded areas as if prepared for rail or red dot . the gun was purchased new 2002 full camo & composit stock model.if rail is required where can i find one? any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried some clamp on type rings and they dont work.  Beretta makes a special base with a picatinny rail on top that attaches to the reciever.  It is rock solid!!!  Your can mount the scope for turkey hunting, and take the mount off during duck season.  Put the base mount back on the reciever and its still sighted in and ready to go.  They make a black and camo.
Its about 65 bucks.
